Moreover, my family business is jewelry store with is a retail business, the business operating in Thailand. Furthermore, my store operates in the northeast of Thailand city name Khon Kaen. In my city, there is a lot of foreign visiting and living so our customer will have a variety of nation not only local people. We sale accessory such as a ring, necklace, bracelet, earring, and pendant. In addition, my career with I has been worked have to directly interact with my employees with requiring me a leadership skill to manage and contribute target to my employees. Since my family business is a retailer business our employees need to directly interact with our customer, our reputation is depending on the employee’s service. Moreover, as my manager role, I must train and contribute target to my employees so they can serve our customer to maximize customer satisfaction. I have applied SERVQUAL to enhance employees service. I had to train, my employees, to have a good service with relating to SERVQUAL theory. Our employees have trained to understand our product since gems stone and diamond have deep detail so they can answer collect and gain reliability. For responsiveness, we have train our staff to answer customer via our phone and digital channel such as Facebook within 5 minutes. We very concern about empathy of our staffs, since our business is jewelry store with considering as a luxury product, the customer will have high expectation in our service. However, my business has a high turnover rate. Since my leader type style is not suitable to my company culture, our employees and organization have a different goal. I have to improve my leadership to reduce the turnover rate in my company.

Leadership Brand

A leadership style that I want to acquire is transformation leadership. I want to have the ability to inspire and motivate my employees to have a vision and same goal. Since my company have a high rate of turnover because of employees and organization have differences goal, the company and staff are not engaging, and it leads to leaving. I have tried the transactional style for 6 months but it shows that this style is not suitable for my company. In addition, employees working without a goal they will work ineffectively.

According to my second blog, Adair’s model is a leadership theory which explains how a leader should behave. According to Adair’s model, the leader has a responsibility to develop their system to contribute task and provide a target to engage employees. Moreover, the engagement bound employees and company goal together, this can reduce turnover rate and improve employee’s potential. I can apply Adair’s model theory to develop my leadership skill. I must study organization culture and understand employee’s behavior to manage and contribute leadership style to manage my staff.
